The SuperLeague event “Fight for Glory” in Budapest showcased a great fight card with a number of exciting fights. One of the toughest fights of the night was the one between Jordan “Terror” Tai from New Zealand and English Peter “The Gentleman” Crooke. Tai really amazed us all in his last SuperLeague fight where he KO’d  Jose Reis and Crooke with a impressive SuperLeague record looking to be in great shape this was a promising match up.

In the first round we did not see too much action while both men where feeling each other out trying to find some weaknesses in the opponent. The first round ended fairly even none of them truly putting their mark on it. Nevertheless in the second round we saw a great deal of activity from both sides and the guys where throwing a lot of leather right from the bell. Both fighters used their hands to a great extent connecting with some good punches.

The first big bomb of the round was Tai’s right straight finding its mark on Crooke´s face leaving him with a bleeding nose. They both aimed a lot for the face of one another and Tai also got a bloodied nose. The second round proved to be pretty even as well although Tai was looking a little bit tired towards the end of the round which maybe gave the Gentlemen the advantage by a tiny bit. Finally it would all come down to who could convincingly win the third and final round. Crooke really stepped up the pace in the last round and his left hook started to find its mark. Tai was looking more and more tired and Crooke managed to take charge in the fight and was rightfully declared the winner when the fight ended. This was a truly exciting and tough battle with two guys who really could throw some punches.  Don't miss the chance to see Peter “The Gentlemen” Crooke in the ring again next week on the “Apocalypse 2006” event in Paris where he will be up against French fighter Cedric Muller.
